Cajon MU-P9610

The Cajon originates in Latin America. The meaning of the word in Spanish is “box” or “drawer.”

The player sits on the cajon and plays it with bare hands.

Each of its sides produces a different sound, while inside it has a special mechanism that creates a distortion and makes the sound ‘rustle.’

In the past, cajons served as a way to overcome the musical boycott from which slaves in Latin America once suffered.
